酒店選擇了在國立競技場對面新開張的三井花園酒店，酒店位處明治神宮外苑及新宿御苑中間，位置上十分便利於看紅葉與銀杏，只是今年的明治神宮外苑的銀杏樹顯得有點稀疏。

阿媽剛落機便到黃大仙美味齋上海菜館吃晚飯。紐約親友每每乘搭聯合航空晚機回港後，都會錯過了晚飯時間，唯獨美味齋營業至凌晨三時，三哥打趣地說，美味齋成了我們到埗後必到都食堂。
