媽媽一直都想去一次日本，奈何許多機緣巧合之下，計劃一直延遲，直至這次東京之旅。這次行程有一半時間是往近郊走，先去橫濱及河口湖，才返回東京。碰巧我們有位親戚在橫須賀，便留言相約在橫濱見面，替是次旅程加一點特備節目。

每年重陽節前，各圍村都忙於煮盆菜。我住在圍村超過十年，吃最多是上水盆菜，也吃過錦田元朗的盆菜，大致上差不多。是年的大圍盆菜宴，用鹽水鴨、粉絲和蝦做的盆菜，跟北區人以豬肉為主的盆菜不同。
