是次旅行比較即興，原因是 Joan 公司農曆年放長假，為免浪費了假期，便計劃到日本旅行。我對京都有一份情意結，原因是眾多日本都巿之中，唯獨京都的古蹟保存得比較完整。

對上一次圖書館協會外訪團要追索至六年前，小弟極希望要在是年卸任前完成外訪團。一早定下外訪地點是泰國曼谷，原因是當地有書商照應，到訪了泰國國家圖書館、朱拉隆功大學、泰國創意設計中心及西里拉醫學圖書館。
