因疫情關係，原先訂好的機票一再改期，直至 2021 年 9 月左右，收到消息指媽媽在美國跌倒，便決定如期赴美，當時回港需要隔離 21 日。
因為方便一家人自駕旅遊，行程都以近郊為主，而在大阪近郊，有城池也有溫泉，便選擇了和歌山及白濱這個行程。
