老爸的派克 51 墨水筆，相片本來是給手記《老爸的鋼筆》作插圖用。
這次美國之行早在一年前已經籌備，日蝕時間為八月尾，機位必然非常緊張。除了日蝕，其餘在美的時間則在逛大都會博物館，本來希望看完整個博物館，但極其量也只是看了一半。

新一年開始，美國運通咭送上旅遊及海外餐飲回贈，所以一月便訂了前往泰國的機票及酒店。原因是以五星級酒店而言，泰國的相對便宜。
