這次礁溪之旅構思了許多年，原因是八年前跟家人到礁溪旅行時，Joan 因事沒隨行，所以一直想再去礁溪。碰考星宇航空開始了香港的航點，便馬上訂了機票到台灣。

Pictures was shot around late January 2001 when Alan was in the New York. All pictures were taken by him with his Minox camera.  

Alan took this picture at our house in Hong Kong, Amoy Garden, using his new Minox camera. The photo was developed by the premium Kodak developing service and Kodak Digial imaging service.

這次旅程選擇了廣島，原因是許多年前曾經計劃過廣島的家庭旅行，但後來因事取消了，這個沒成行的廣島旅遊好像成了一個未完成的使命。這次旅程先到宮島參觀及浸溫泉，再到廣島看廣島城及原爆遺址。當然少不了品嚐當地美食：廣島蠔、廣島燒及穴子飯，少不了到日本必吃的拉麵、咖喱包及燒肉。

一直想去一趟上海，因為早跟 Christine&Gary 說過要去打搞他們，酒店訂在豫園旁邊，說明了這次上海之旅（嚴格來說是江南之旅）不像一般遊客要去看外灘、明珠塔等現代化景點，反而嚐試尋找舊江南風味。
