每年重陽節前，各圍村都忙於煮盆菜。我住在圍村超過十年，吃最多是上水盆菜，也吃過錦田元朗的盆菜，大致上差不多。是年的大圍盆菜宴，用鹽水鴨、粉絲和蝦做的盆菜，跟北區人以豬肉為主的盆菜不同。
三分吹雞 BBQ，未開始燒，架機就無電。
酒店選擇了在國立競技場對面新開張的三井花園酒店，酒店位處明治神宮外苑及新宿御苑中間，位置上十分便利於看紅葉與銀杏，只是今年的明治神宮外苑的銀杏樹顯得有點稀疏。
